The judges: a qualified tasting panel

Professionals in the field guarantee conformity of the sample, while enlightened amateurs represent consumer tastes.
London Tasting Awards

The tasters are the pillar of the London Tasting Awards. Each sample is blind tasted by an international jury of experts, with a grid based on international sensory analysis criteria.
The balance between professionals and amateurs is essential for the competition: the jury will be composed wine, beer and spirits of professionals (wine merchants, oenologists, sommeliers, producers, etc.) and experienced amateurs, carefully selected by the committee and the commissioner.

The professional is the major player in judging a product, validating the criteria and its quality. The consumer brings a more experimental approach which is sought when buying an award-winning bottle around the world.

The tasting rules will follow the standards of the competitions: blind tasting by at least three tasters using standard organoleptic criteria.
